Win8/Win8.1 hard disk takes up 100% problem repair method

Users of Win8 and Win8.1 systems may sometimes find a 100% problem.

Sometimes the hard disk usage is too high in the task manager, even reaching 100%.

What is going on here?

You are not running too many applications. .

After researching, it turned out to be caused by a SuperFetch in the system. Disabling SuperFetch will solve it.

How to turn off SuperFetch?

The SuperFetch Super Read-Ahead service for Windows 8/Windows 8.1 is designed for enterprise applications and large collaboration software, and is not required for individual users. Professional software such as enterprise policy management used by large enterprises, the database startup process is often up to 10 minutes, and the SuperFetch super read-ahead service can reduce the startup time to less than 6 minutes. But for us personal users, the software startup time is usually very short, usually within 1-2 seconds, SuperFetch super read-ahead service or speed is only 0.2-0.5 seconds, which we can generally ignore, Turning on the service will only increase the monitoring of the hard disk (loss of CPU performance time) and read time (increasing the allocation of hard disk IO addressing threads), which is also the root cause of complaints about the large disk usage. The SuperFetch super read-ahead service is also ineffective for game programs. For individual users and gamers, opening this service will only invisibly lose CPU performance time and loss of thread performance for hard disk IO addressing. Therefore, we can close this service without hesitation.

The closing method is very simple. After selecting "Services" in "Computer Management", find SuperFetch and disable it. This problem is basically completely solved.

If it's an SSD solid state drive, then you don't feel like you are driving SuperFetch.

If you have a normal hard disk, it is very necessary to turn it off!!
