How to turn on network discovery in Windows 8

  
                                    

1. Under the system, press and hold the “Windows logo" and “X” keys on the keyboard to open the <quo;Control Panel" Refer to the following figure

2. Select "Network and Internet" in “Control Panel”. Refer to the following figure

3. Click on "Network & Sharing Center". Refer to the following figure

4. In the "Network and Sharing Center", select “Change Advanced Sharing Settings”. Refer to the following figure

5. There are different configuration files in different network locations. For example, in the office and other places, “work network” is generally “dedicated”, click the V icon to expand, and click “Enable Network Discovery” in the current network configuration file. Refer to the following figure

6. If the “public network” in the home or public place belongs to “guest or private”, click the V icon to expand the current network profile. Click “Enable Network Discovery”. Refer to the following figure

7. After the configuration is completed, click ““Save Changes” at the bottom of the “Advanced Sharing Settings”. Set up network discovery to complete. Refer to the figure below
