"Tuesday update" encounters blue screen Win8.1 undo patch

Microsoft released the "Update on Tuesday" in August last week, which brought some new features and fixed security issues, but then users reported that the updated system frequently had blue screen problems. Microsoft issued a notice to advise users to uninstall some patches.

It is understood that the patch that caused the blue screen problem is mainly KB2982791. Microsoft has confirmed the existence of the problem and fixed the patch. However, in order to be on the safe side, Microsoft temporarily revoked the patch.

In addition to KB2982791, the patches that Microsoft revoked are KB2970228, KB2975719 and KB2975331. These patches are no longer available in the upgrade push, and these patches have been installed. Users can uninstall in the Windows Update installed update.

Starting this month, the regular "Tuesday Patch" was renamed "Tuesday Update", meaning that monthly is no longer just a matter of fixing security issues, but it is also possible to add new features and features. This may be Microsoft's new update iteration method in the future, which is more frequent and efficient.
