What is the event viewer in Windows system and how do I use it?

Windows is a mature and well-established system, and its functionality is obviously very comprehensive. There is an event viewer in the Windows system, we can use it to clearly know what the system is doing and what happened. This plays a key role in network
security.

Open mode

Click the Start button in the lower left corner of the desktop, enter the event viewer in the search bar, and then double-click to open.

You can also press the Win+R button to bring up the Run dialog box and enter eventvwr. After confirming, you can also open the Event Viewer.

Click “Start”-“Settings -“Control Panel”-“Administrative Tools”-“Event Viewer'; Open Event Viewer window.

Specific use method

After opening, we see the main interface, as shown below, through the operation bar on the right side, we click to view, you can see the previous system operation.

As shown in the figure below, I have previously performed a management unit operation, and no operation succeeded. So the following picture is a hint that the management unit is not available, there is a detailed introduction, friends who understand computer
can study it carefully.

You can also view batch logs frequently, click Custom Views--Manage Events, and the middle part is the events that happen to Computer
. At around 2 pm, I assigned a DHCP address and clicked on the event properties on the right for a more in-depth view.

It is clear that this is a computer that wants to assign an address to the network card. The name of the log below, the source, etc. are clear.
