How to solve dial 651 error under Windows 8.1

  
 

In Windows 8.1 system, when users use the local broadband connection to access the Internet, many users will encounter the dial-up error 651 prompt, only the repeated dial-up connection can connect to the network, then how should we solve this small problem.

The temporary alternative works as follows:


1. Create a new notebook, enter (rasdial "broadband connection" account password), save as rasdial. Bat, save type is all files.

(Note: Change the account and password to your current account/password, for example: 0532-83662200, ××××××)

2. Continue to create a new notebook. Enter (createobject("wscript.shell").run"rasdial broadband connection account password",0), save the file name as createobject.vbs, and save the file as all files.

(Note: Change the account and password to your current account/password, for example: 0760-8835478, ××××××)

3. Locate the path to (C:\\Users\\<username>\\AppData\\Roaming\\Microsoft\\Windows
\\Start Menu\\Programs\\Startup).

Move/copy the rasdial.bat and createobject.vbs script files you just created to the root directory of the startup

Note: The AppData folder is hidden by default, click the View tab. Check the hidden items.

4, restart computer
, after entering the desktop will flash the command line window, you can solve the dial error 651.

The problem of dialing 651 error message under win8.1 system is probably caused by the lack of compatibility between modem and win8.1 system. The above operations allow the system to automatically make a dial-up connection when logging in, and then the user's manual dial-up connection can be successfully connected to the network.
