Win10 RS1 preview version of the Edge browser extension official website exposure

  

December 10 news, Win10 Edge browser extensions are expected to bring in the Redstone update, foreign users today unexpectedly discovered the official website of the Microsoft Edge browser extension ( Unfinished design page), as shown in the following figure, you can see that the website page design has not been completed, and the system version number position is replaced by the XXX placeholder.

In this page, Microsoft provides two extension downloads and gives the installation steps. However, in the current Build 10586, the Edge browser does not seem to support extensions, so it still does not work. The page is primarily for developers, and Microsoft also provides API development documentation (not currently available).

In addition, the page also provides a screenshot showing the early renderings of the Edge browser extension. As shown in the figure below, the installed extension is displayed next to the Hub Center button, and the Hub Center, Web Notes, and Share button are hidden in the Settings menu.

The exposure of this page shows that Microsoft has begun to prepare the first preview version of the Windows10 RS1 (RS1 is the first wave of Redstone update) branch. According to previous news, the first preview of Win10 RS1 is expected to be in Pushed after December 10. According to Microsoft's previous statement, developers can easily port Chrome browser extensions to the Win10 Edge browser and provide extended downloads in the app store.
