Win10 TH2 Enterprise Edition Group Postpones Upgrade and Update Strategy: Upgrade Installation Delays Up to 8 Months

Win10 TH2 is now available to mass users. At the same time, Windows 10 Home Edition and Professional Edition images have also been downloaded from the MSDN Subscription Center. According to foreign media reports, Win10 TH2 Enterprise Edition image has also been launched on the Microsoft VLSC Volume Licensing Service Center.

Microsoft has released Win10 TH2 Enterprise Edition, which provides enterprise users with better update control, advanced tools to manage deployment updates, and postponed and paused update reception and installation.

Windows 10 Enterprise users need a more stable system environment, so update installation does not need to be done in real time, so administrators need to properly manage this. Recently, the foreign media exposed the Win10 TH2 Enterprise Edition Group Policy  Delay upgrade and update" interface, which contains options for Win10 upgrade and update postponement. The “Upgrade” installation can be postponed for up to 8 months, “Update” can be delayed for several weeks. Administrators can also suspend overall upgrades and update installations if needed.

Compared with the Win10 Home and Professional users, the default setting permissions are much smaller. The Home Edition users have no control over the updates at all. They can only be installed and downloaded automatically by default. If there is a problem with the update, it is very It's hard to avoid; Professional users will automatically download updates, but have limited control over the installation time. However, Win10 Professional users can manually control update downloads and installations by modifying Group Policy to achieve access to the Enterprise Edition. Although many ordinary users have called for Microsoft to restore the update control method in Win7/Win8.1, Microsoft still has no plans to improve.
