July 29 Microsoft announces that the Win10 store has been officially opened to developers

On July 29, with the official release of Win10, Microsoft announced today that the Windows 10 store is open to developers. Developers can submit Win10 apps to consumer app stores in 190 countries later today. The Win10 app store brings a new experience, richer content, personalized recommendations, and more clear classification.

Microsoft said that the Win10 store is the first cross-device general store to open PCs, tablets, smartphones, the Internet of Things, game consoles and HoloLes. Developers can develop once and use it all the way.

Later in the day, the Windows 10 SDK (click here to download) will be officially available at the Dev Center Developer Center, accepting Win10 application submissions, including new and upgraded applications.
