For Win7/Win8.1 users to confuse: Win10 official version of the basic system configuration requirements and important instructions

  

A lot of XP/Win7/Win8.1 users who are interested in Win10 are very concerned about whether their computer configuration is enough to install the official version of Win10. According to Microsoft's official statement, basically, if your computer can run Windows7/Windows 8.1, you can safely start to install Windows10. If you are not sure, please refer to the following official minimum configuration standards. If your system configuration is higher than the following standards, you can install Win10 official version without any worries.

Basic system configuration requirements:

• Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster

• Memory: 1 GB (32-bit) Or 2 GB (64-bit)

• Available hard disk space: 16 GB

• Graphics card: Microsoft DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM driver

&bull Microsoft account and Internet access*

*Using Microsoft account to log in to Win10 can more fully enjoy the various functions of the new system, but you can also log in with a local account, some functions (such as Windows Store, Mail, Personalized synchronization, etc.) will be affected. In addition, installation can be completed without Internet access, but various networking functions will be limited.

Important

• Some computer processors and hardware configurations are not supported by Win10, including a small number of older 64-bit CPUs and some 32 GB running compression operating systems And all 16 GB storage devices.

• To access the Windows Store and download and run apps, you need an Internet connection, a screen resolution of at least 1024 x 768, and a Microsoft account.

• The Windows Store in Win10 will offer many (but not all) Win8.1 apps. Apps for Windows 10 will not be available for computers running Windows 8.1 or Windows 8. Keep in mind that if you decide to return to Windows 8.1 or Windows 8 after installing Win10, you may have to reinstall your app from the Windows Store.

• Cortana is currently only available in English (US), English (UK), Chinese (Simplified), German (Germany), French (France), Italian, and Spanish (Spain). In order to be able to use Cortana, you must set the country or region where your system is located as one of the available languages, and you also need to install the Win10 system in that language.

• After installing Win10, you will not be able to play DVDs using Windows Media Player.

• If you are running Windows 8.1 but have not installed Windows 8.1 Update, you will not be able to install Win10. Please try running Windows Update to get Windows 8.1 before installing Win10, or you can download Win10 official version ISO image file.

• If you are using Win8/Win8.1 Professional with Media Center Media Center or Win7 Home Premium and Ultimate, and you want to install Win10, Windows Media Center will be removed.

• Win10 does not work on Windows RT 8.1.

• Win10 does not have an N version, so if you upgrade from N version of Windows to Win10, you will no longer be able to run the N version.

• If you are running Win7 without SP1, you can only upgrade to Win10 by downloading the ISO image file. If you have Windows 7 SP1 installed, you can upgrade to Win10 using Windows Update or by downloading the official ISO image file.
