Win10 new version of the calculator usage is more than just addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

Win10 9926 brings a lot of changes, its calculator not only has a big change in interface, but also has improved functions. Many people use the Win10 calculator, just to add and subtract, which is really a waste. Let's take a look at how to use the latest version of Win10 calculator.
Figure 01 The new version of the Win10 calculator

9926 introduced a new version of the Modern calculator, but this also led to the long-awaited window version of the shelves. Fortunately, with Win10 Modern window escort, the calculator in the desktop environment did not bring much difference, the overall feeling is similar to the old version, and there is no obvious obstacles. The new calculator uses a newly designed UI, which tends to be flatter overall, and complements Win10.

In terms of layout, the new version of the calculator is more referenced to the entity calculator, the most obvious change is to place the function key above the calculation area, and It is no longer crowded with numeric keys and operators (+-×÷). As a result of this design, in addition to being more logically clear, another great advantage is that the numeric keys are invisibly magnified, thus ensuring that the touch screen user can complete the click more accurately.

History and number grouping still exist, but unlike the Win7 version, its history is designed separately. The interface (in the window environment), the user needs to click the “history” button to see. Digital grouping is enabled by default, unlike Win7, which can be cancelled by itself. “Display” is a two-line design, but it is no longer used to display history, but to temporarily display those unfinished equations.
Figure 04 New calculator also provides history and digital grouping function
Figure 05 & ldquo; screen rdquo; two lines of design, the intermediate results will be automatically displayed here, which is also a change from the Win7 version

Scientific computing is a highlight of the new version of the calculator, canceling the traditional calculator's "fat panel" design, directly put the operation keys above the digital area, and become a vertical version. It should be said that the entity calculator is still imitated here, but I think the current effect seems to be more easily accepted by new users.
Figure 06 The new scientific computing model also uses the vertical design

The programmer mode is also available, also switched through the upper left button. However, the Win10 version canceled the previous Win7 version of the "statistics mode", probably because there are not many people who use this mode!
Figure 07 canceled the old version of "statistics mode", one-stop switch menu More convenient than the older version

The well-received unit conversion in the classic version has also been transplanted, and the function is not too much. The weight, length, volume, and temperature are almost all there are. However, "date calculation" and "worksheet (ie mortgage, lease, etc.)" is not online, so the author usually used to check the number of XX people can not be completed, maybe it is time hastily But this is really a very practical design, or I hope to make it up as soon as possible.
Figure 08 Unit conversion uses a separate keyboard design, and also intelligently gives some common unit results

The new unit conversion no longer shares the same keyboard with the calculation area, but uses a proprietary interface design. The advantage of this is that the touch screen user can make more input and not be tied to various function keys. There is also a special highlight here, that is, the calculator can automatically give some common unit results. For example, I entered a “9600000” square foot area conversion here, so in addition to the defined “square meter unit”, the calculator automatically gives “0.89 square kilometers”, ““ 0.34 square miles & rdquo;, & ldquo; 8.92 Castle & rdquo; three common units. In other words, if all you need is “square kilometers”, the easiest way is to go directly to the bottom and choose not to choose.

Of course, as a Modern version of the calculator, full-screen mode is indispensable. The switching method is similar to other applications, just click the maximize button in the upper right corner. However, since the area after the full screen has become much larger, the button arrangement will be adjusted, but the overall is still acceptable. In addition, memory (ie M) and history have finally seen a place, at least no need to click on the "history" button, in short, these are not understandable in the window version.

Written at the end

Overall, the new calculator combines the common advantages of the previous window version and the modern version. Especially the window mode, basically no difference from the previous window version. At the same time, the optimization of the details makes the new calculator more convenient in use. In addition, the author also found an interesting change, that is, when you accidentally input an error equation (such as the divisor is zero), the calculator will directly prompt the cause of the error, which is compared to the Win7 version. ” Obviously you have to understand a lot!

The calculator function of Win10 9926 is more powerful than before, and everyone has seen it. In addition to the simplest addition and subtraction, you can also convert units, switch to programmer mode, and so on. For many professionals, this calculator is very good.
