Win8.1/Win10 dual system how to cancel the desktop icon small arrow?

I use Win10 and Win8.1 dual systems, and its beautiful desktop is really refreshing. However, the shortfall is the small arrow on the desktop icon, which is very challenging and has to be removed. So I am going to start working on the registry according to the experience of Baidu.

1. Open the registry window or call the WIN+R key, type regedit, and then confirm.

2, open the registry editor: as shown below

3, find "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT" in the registry editor, then right-click menu to expand:

4, find "ldkfile" in the drop-down menu, and then click, as shown:

5, then find the "IsShortcut" character on the right side of the registry editor String the value item and then right click to remove it.

6, this is the end, then exit the registry and restart the computer. When the computer desktop is turned back on, you will be ecstatic, and the original boring little arrow is gone. However, things are not what we imagined. We will find that when we click the start button, our right mouse button has lost its function, and all the functions of the right button are gone. You even think that the shutdown is a problem. At this time we even remembered that we did not export a registry to back up before modifying the registry. If you want to restore the system, the restore point is very far, what can you do? In fact, where to stumble from where to climb again.

7, we will open the registry editor again, then we can not use the right-click function to open, can only use the keyboard WIN+R to call up the run window and then open, find the delete "IsShortcut" string For the location of the value item, right-click the new string value item in the blank space, as shown in the figure:

8, and then rename it to “IsShortcut”. Exit the editor and restart your computer. The original small arrow and right mouse button functions are back. Therefore, WIN10 and WIN8.1 can only use other methods to cancel the small arrow. It is recommended to use the tools of the optimization master class to be safer.

Note:

1, you must remember to backup when modifying the registry.

2. Create system restore points in time when making major settings.
