How to perform network connection operation in Win8.1 system

The Win8.1 system has a lot of different ways of using it than the previous system because of the support for touch screen operation. Take the connection network, how should the Win8.1 system perform network connection operations?

When you first set up Windows, you may have already connected to the network. Otherwise, you can see a list of available networks and connect to one of them.

View a list of available networks

1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen and click “Settings”.

(If you are using a mouse, you can move the mouse to the lower right corner of the screen, then move up, click the “Set” button.)

2. Select the network icon. It will show if it is connected and the strength of the connected signal.

3. If you are not already connected, tap or click the network icon (local network icon or wireless network icon).

4. Tap or click the name of the network you want to connect to, and then tap or click “Connect”.

A network password may be required. This password can be obtained from your network administrator. If at home, the administrator may be a member of the family. If at work, please ask the IT administrator. If you are in a public place (such as a coffee shop), ask the service staff.

5. If you want to connect to the network each time the network is in range, select the “Auto Connect” checkbox.

As you can see from the tutorial, the Win8.1 system uses a brand new interface in many places, so it is quite different from some previous settings including network connection. However, in general it is easier than before.
