Recover system services with the system console. Solve startup failures

There are a lot of "system services" in the Windows system, some of which are not used by our ordinary users, and these services take up a lot of system resources, so the usual solution is to enter the service. The management console "closes these "services" to meet their own needs, but since many "system services" can not be run separately, they must rely on other services, often because of the careless operation of people, accidentally disable a service, then Causes the Windows system to fail to start. What should I do in this situation?

In fact, we can use the system console for manual recovery. In the system console, we can start any service at will, including the startup type of the control service.

First put the Windows XP installation CD into the CD-ROM drive, then use the CD-ROM to start the computer. When you enter the "Welcome to the Installer" interface, follow the prompts and press the "R" button to enter the Windows XP "failure recovery." Console interface, select the system you need to repair, and type the system administrator password.

At the command prompt, we need to use the "Enable" and "Disable" commands, which are used to enable and disable the service, respectively.

The format of the Enable command is "enable [service_name] [startup_type]", and the format of the Disable command is "disable [service_name]". [service_name] is the name of the service you want to enable or disable, which can be found through the help file or online. [startup_type] is the type of startup, indicating different startup types. Available types include Service_disabled, Service_boot_start, Service_system_start, Service_auto_start, and Service_demand_start.

Let's disable the system help service in Windows XP as an example. First set the startup type of the service to "disabled" and then re-enable it.

1. Enter the "Recovery Console" interface, enter the "disable helpsvc" command at the command prompt and press Enter to set the system help service to "disabled".

2. When you need to restart the service and set the service to run automatically with the system, type "enable heplsvc_boot_start" at the command prompt and press Enter.

Tip: It is recommended that you make a backup of the system service before making changes to the system service. The method is as follows: Run the registry editor, and then expand the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServices. Click the File → Export menu command, click the selected branch option in the dialog box that appears, and export and save the contents of the registry under this branch as a REG file. If you need to restore the system service, you can directly double-click the REG file to import the registry.
