In the following, according to whether the configuration of the two machines is the same, it is discussed in two cases. (For convenience of description, the following machines that need to reinstall the system are called "native", and the ready-made machines that are well-made are called "clients". ).

This machine and client hardware configuration and hard disk partition are the same.

For this situation, there are at least four ways to do this:

1. Mirror the client's primary partition, copy the image file to the machine, and restore it through Norton Ghost. ;

2, install the client's hard disk to the machine, run Ghost, select the "Local→Disk→to Disk" item to do the hard disk "clone";

3, if the client Just beside you, you can connect with parallel cable, start the machine into standard DOS mode, run Norton Ghost, select “LPT→slave”, client runs Norton Ghost, select “LPT→master” to carry out between two machines. The hard disk "clone";

4, if both computers have a network card, start the machine into the DOS mode of the support network, through the "netbios → master" to complete the "clone" operation between the machines.

This machine is different from the client hardware configuration and hard disk partition.

First right click on "My Computer" on the client, select "Properties", select "Hardware Configuration File", click "Copy", give it a new file name, such as BAK. This way there are two identical hardware configuration files on the client. When you restart your computer, the system will let you select the hardware configuration file. There are three options:

Then, remove the local hard disk, install it on the client, restart the client, select "1" when the hardware configuration option appears on the screen, start at In the process, any error is ignored, enter "My Computer", delete all unnecessary files under the C drive of the machine, and then copy all the contents of the client C partition to the machine one by one.

After shutdown, remove the hard disk, restart the client, select "1" to enter the system, then open the "Hardware Configuration File" column, delete the BAK file, restart the machine, and the client will return to normal.

Finally, put your hard drive back on your computer. After booting, the system asks you to select the configuration file and select "3" - you will be pleasantly surprised to find that the blue sky and white clouds appear on your screen again. Then the system starts to check the hardware and load the driver. When asked to insert the system installation disk, you can point the path to the "C:\\windows" or "C:\\windows\\system" directory. When all the drivers are loaded, enter " The hardware configuration file bar deletes the BAK file. Restart your computer and your machine is fully restored.
