Windows 10 Anniversary Update will remove the Messaging Everywhere feature

Computer Store News: Microsoft has pushed the Build 14376 update to the Fast Ring Channel Windows 10 PC and mobile test member users. There are not many feature updates in the latest version, but a highly anticipated feature has been removed. “Messaging Everywhere", enables Windows 10 PCs to send text messages and sync messages to Windows 10 Mobile mobile devices. Recently, Dona Sarka, who is responsible for the Insider project, announced that the feature will not appear in the Windows 10 annual update, and gives reasons for removing the feature, which requires a lot of improvements to integrate with the Skype application in the future.

From the Windows Insider Program project users, “Messaging Everywhere" Using feedback, the service is actually good.

But we believe that Microsoft can provide a better experience through the Skype app. Because of this, we decided that this feature will not be released this summer in the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.

Starting with Build 14376 and later, Insider Program project users will not be able to reply to their mobile phones with text messages via the Messaging app on their PC, however, using the Smart Assistant service on the PC “ Xiaona” reply to text messages is not affected.

Looking ahead, we will work with the Skype team to provide users with a "everything everywhere" experience on all devices deploying Windows 10 operating systems via the Skype app. We will continue to share details about the experience in the coming months.
