Windows 10 KB3140768 update has caused trouble again

Computer store news: Windows 10 often releases some cumulative update patches, but it doesn't help the user every time, sometimes it's quite big. According to foreign media reports, a small number of netizens in the Microsoft community reported that they could not successfully install the patch, and the computer will restore the system settings when the update is restarted. This is a bit similar to the recent KB3140743, which even caused a large-scale unbootable phenomenon.

Microsoft Support official website shows that KB3140743 was released on March 8, for Windows 10 1511 and Windows Server 2016 TP4.

Later, some users (Build 10586.122) tried to download manually for deployment. Although KB3140743 can be installed, KB3140745 failed.

At present, Microsoft has not admitted that this is a public bug. After all, it has not received large-scale feedback. In addition, because Build 10586.164 has been pushed this morning, theoretically including the previous cumulative update, users can try to upgrade directly to this version.
