The Microsoft Edge browser adds black themes and adds some user experience improvements throughout the system. Here's a detailed update to Windows 10 Build 10158:

Microsoft Edge:

The first thing you noticed in Build 10158 is the presence of the Microsoft Edge logo. It is. Here are some great new features and improvements waiting for you to try:

Many Insider members want to add the “Home” key to the Edge browser. In Build 10158, you can start the “Home” key by “Settings&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

General user experience improvements and refinements:

You will continue to see improvements and refinements in the general user experience in Build 10158. In terms of Continuum functionality, we fixed a lot of bugs, improved tablet mode animation, and improved support for tablet mode for Windows 8/8.1 apps and Win32 apps.

When using the Start menu, you can open all apps with a left-slide gesture. This gesture also supports tablet mode when you open the left side of the start menu. In addition, in “All Apps", you can quickly click on a letter to quickly click on the list of apps that start with that letter (very convenient for users with more apps).

In the taskbar, when an app requires user attention, its icon will flash in orange. When you are downloading a file or transferring a file in File Manager, the process animation in the taskbar will return to the green level progress display.

Cortana Improvements:

Consolidate user configuration and settings into Notepad, and the Notepad feature is basically finalized. Cortana added a dark theme that is aligned with the rest of the system. In the new version, Cortana has been able to track flights and packages. When your mail contains flight and package information (from a supported provider), this information will be displayed in Cortana and Cortana will give you a reminder. Work, home and flight flight reminders are also available. In addition, the new version of Cortana can send mail, the sender, the subject of the mail and the content of the mail can be done by voice, and can be sent to multiple people at the same time. For example, when you need to send an email, just call out & ldquo; send an email to XXX & rdquo;, then say the content of the email. You can also correct it by voice. However, this feature is currently only available in the US (English) region.

Cortana's integration with Office 365:

If your company has the first version of Office 365, you can try Cortana and Offcie 365 integration in Build 10158. You can rely on Cortana to quickly see your day's to-do list, when and where the first meeting was held, get a work schedule, and even travel reminders recorded in the calendar.

Cortana and Office 365 build a better collaborative relationship, and Cortana has made great improvements in helping users prepare for meetings, learn about colleagues, and remind them of to-do items. With Cortana, you won't miss anything. Try her now!

Improvements to the Windows 10 Photos app:

We have pushed an update for the Photos app via App Store (Trial). This update not only brings general performance improvements and reliability improvements, but also adds new features that Insider members require. For example, the Photo app now supports GIF dynamic image browsing, which is the most popular feature of Insider members.

We also added the "Open with" button in the photo browser. When browsing photos, click on the top right corner “...” icon and select “ Open with)” In addition, the “Album” page has added a link to “Saved Image”“Screenshot” & "Camera".

Screenshots:

We added a new feature to Build 10158 for the "Screenshot Tool", you can now set a delay of up to 5 seconds to capture the menu that will pop up !

Member Center:

As I said before, from Build 10158, the Member Center will not be pre-installed in Win10. You can reinstall the Member Center app in the following steps:

Go to “Set”——“System”——“App &Features

Click “Manage”Options &"Add a Feature"

Select “Member Center> in the list (in alphabetical order) and click “Install”< Br>

Windows 10 SDK Preview Version:

Tomorrow we will also release the Windows 10 SDK for Build 10158. Our goal is to match the version of the system that is pushed every time for Insider Express members. However, there may be several system updates that don't work with the SDK.

We will also release a corresponding version of the Windows 10 Mobile emulator. With the latest SDKs and emulators, your app can access the latest Windows features and APIs in the latest build versions.

The Windows blog will show you the Build number of the upcoming SDK and the new API, major fixes, and change logs for the current SDK. As always, you can download the latest Windows SDK and mobile emulator from the Windows 10 Developer Tools page.

Tomorrow, when the Windows 10 SDK preview is released, the Windows Blog Building Apps section will be featured in the article, so stay tuned!
