4K resolution is not yet fully available, and Microsoft is now developing 8K resolution. Windows 10 desktop and 2-in-1 devices require at least 800 x 600 resolution pixels and a minimum display size of 8 inches.

For 4K resolution, Windows 10 requires a screen of 8 inches or larger, and if you want to take full advantage of 8K resolution, you need at least a 27-inch or larger display.

This also affects the design of Windows 10 phones and small form factor tablets. According to Microsoft, Windows 10 phones require a minimum screen size of 4 inches, but for higher performance phones, Microsoft will use a 4.5-inch display with a minimum resolution of 480 x 800, while those who want the phone to get 4K resolution.
