Windows+Windows Phone application breakthrough 560,000

Computer Store News: Last November, Microsoft confirmed that the number of Windows Phone and Windows Store apps has reached 525,000. The specific data is that the Windows Phone Store has 340,000 apps and the Windows Store has about 187,000 apps. Now, the "Microsoft by Numbers" page shows that the Windows Phone and Windows Store applications have combined to 560000.

This means that about 35,000 apps are added to Windows Phone and Windows Store. Considering that the previous figures are as of mid-November, the current data statistics spans almost two months. We infer that Windows Phone has 360,000 apps and Windows Store apps total 200,000.

With the release of Windows Mobile 10 or Windows 10 Mobile, these numbers look healthy, but there is still a big gap compared to iOS and Android stores. Windows 10 will further unify the Windows ecosystem and app store, and we will see a dramatic increase in the number of apps.
