Microsoft: Win7/Win8.1 version free killing vulnerability has been fixed

Computer Store News: Today, Microsoft issued an emergency security bulletin confirming the existence of a "serious" vulnerability in its own security products. The vulnerability comes from the Microsoft malware protection engine (Malware Protection Engine), which may allow an attacker to directly shut down the anti-virus software real-time protection service, which eventually causes the Win7 and Win8.1 systems to be infected by malicious websites.

This security vulnerability affects most of Microsoft's security products, including the enterprise version of Forefront Client Security, the consumer version of Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE), and the full-platform Windows Defender.

However, as of this date, Microsoft has not found any specific attacks or malicious programs on the network that specifically target this vulnerability.

According to the latest news from Microsoft's Greater China Security Group, Microsoft has released the latest malware protection engine update to fix this vulnerability. Therefore, Win7 and Win8.1 users only need to open Windows Update and install Microsoft each regularly. The product is updated to fix the vulnerability.

At present, Microsoft has pushed the malware protection engine with version 1.1.10701.0 to fix the security vulnerabilities of the original product.
