Infographic: WP sales catch up with Apple's iPhone

Computer store news: In December last year, Windows Phone sold more than Apple iPhone in 24 countries around the world. WP did a good job in 2013, and research firm Kantar called WP the fastest operating system in the world. Natural WP starts with a low base, so it is easier to show a large increase. For example, last year WP grew 67% in the US, accounting for 5% of the US smartphone market.

So why did Windows Phone 8 get such a strong momentum last year? Earlier last year, Microsoft and Nokia focused on the ability of Nokia's high-end Lumia devices to take pictures in low light conditions. Later, Microsoft introduced the WP8 GDR3 update, which allows WP8 manufacturers to compete with high-end Android phones, and suddenly there are many devices equipped with 1080 x 1920 large-size display and quad-core Qualcomm processor. Low-end smartphones such as the Nokia Lumia 520 are very affordable and have acquired a lot of users from emerging markets.

With the launch of WP8.1, WP is expected to continue to grow this year.
