Win7 users: Win8.1 Update2/Win9, how much do you know?

Computer shop news: In the next year, Win8.1 users will welcome two important system updates of Win8.1 Update2 and Win9 respectively. As of now, we have reported various rumors, all kinds of leaked news, then when will Windows9 and Win8.1 Update2 come?

First, Windows 8.1 Update2

Win8.1 Update2 can be seen as the second major feature update of Win8.1. At the Build2014 Developer Conference, Microsoft revealed that it plans to push another round of feature updates for Win8.1 during the year. It is rumored that the second update, the Windows 8.1 Update2, will be officially launched on the August or September patch day.

Second, Windows9

Another highlight of Microsoft is the confusing Win9. Previously, a large number of foreign media reported that Win9 will debut in April 2015. At that time, we will see that the Modern application runs in a separate window, supports running on a traditional desktop, and minimizes, maximizes, or restores those applications.

Of course, Win9 users can also fix traditional desktop programs and Modern applications in the taskbar, reducing the barrier between traditional desktop and Modern mode interfaces.

Third, the start menu

Microsoft announced at the developer conference in April that it will return to the start menu in Win8.1 Update2, but this commitment was postponed to 2015 and is expected to be released with Win9. Although Microsoft did not explain why it was going back to the start menu, we can be sure that the “Start Menu” is indeed back, not only with the Start button, but also with the enhanced Start menu.

Fourth, Cortana desktop version

On the Windows Phone 8.1 mobile platform, Microsoft is working hard to build its own private voice assistant Cortana, and also plans to launch Cortana desktop version, respectively supporting Win8.1, Win9 and other system platforms.
