Microsoft: Keep Windows RT, post-integration WP8.1

Computer Store News: Before, many international tablet manufacturers complained about the poor sales of Windows RT devices. The outside world also believes that Windows RT devices will soon die out. But Julie Larson-Green, the former head of Microsoft's Windows division, said that Windows RT 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1 will soon be integrated, but the Windows RT platform will remain.

Recently, in the Recode interview, Julie Larson-Green revealed that Microsoft will stick to Win8 and will not shape the second Win7. She also said that the Windows RT platform will not die out soon. Because Microsoft is still planning to improve the existing system platform, adding relevant features to stimulate consumers' interest in buying tablets and mobile devices.

In addition, Larson-Green claims that his previous words have been misunderstood by the media and the public. She said: "For smartphones, tablets and traditional computer devices, Terry Myerson's team has been researching how to integrate platforms and how to improve the user experience. Therefore, many people have misunderstood the semantics and believe that Windows (Windows RT) based on the ARM platform is coming to an end. In fact, this is impossible to happen.

The Windows RT system, usually pre-installed on the Microsoft Surface tablet, was officially released on October 26, 2012. In October 2013, it was upgraded to the Windows RT 8.1 platform for free.
