Cortana's new feature: Scan user emails to ensure users keep their credits

Computer Store News: Microsoft is developing new features for Cortana Digital Assistant for the Windows 10 update in June. Microsoft has now begun to publicly test some additional features. Starting today, Windows Insider testers will get a new feature in Cortana.

The purpose of this new feature is to help users follow their promises. After turning this feature on, Cortana will look for local emails, find them for friends or colleagues and include “I will give you as soon as possible next week' or "I want to finish this report at 5pm this afternoon" and other phrases and sentences. Cortana will then create a reminder card to remind the user in advance to comply with the promise.

Cortana only scans local emails and does not send numbers to Microsoft servers. User consent is required after the scan is complete to create a reminder card. In addition to the promise reminder feature, Microsoft also adjusted the Cortana management calendar invitation feature. Cortana will now alert users to unconventional meeting invitations, those that are held outside of working hours.

These two new features are available today for testing by testers only, but Microsoft plans to be widely available for everyone to use in the near future, and Android and iOS clients will be updated in the future.
