Win8.1 View the desktop, the Start screen, and the picture on the lock screen

  

Computer Store News: In Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1, you can view your favorite photos from the following locations: "Start”Screen and Lock screen interface. You can use your own photos or download some photos from the personalized library.

Saving the desktop background in the personalization library

If you want to use the images in the personalized library on the "Start" screen or lock screen, you need to save the image first. Go to your computer.

Go to the Personalization Library and click or click “Desktop Background”.

After you find the background you want, click or click on the image to open it in your browser.

Long press or right click on the image and then tap or click “Save Image as ”.

Make sure to save the image to your gallery and click or click “Save”. Then follow the steps to view the image on the desktop, “start” screen or lock screen.

Note

If you are using Internet Explorer 11, please press and hold the image, then click “Save Image”Save it to your gallery. (If you use the mouse, right click on the picture and click “Save to picture folder 

Change desktop background

Swipe in from the right edge of the screen And click "Search”. (If using a mouse, point to the top right corner of the screen, then move the mouse pointer down, then click "Search”.)

Enter the desktop background in the search box, then click or click “ Change the desktop background”.

Browse to find the image you want to use. If you only need a desktop background image, click or click to select it.

If you need to watch a looped slide show of multiple pictures, check the box for the multiple pictures you want to include in the slide show.

Click or click “Save Changes”.

Viewing the desktop background on the “Start” screen

You can set the desktop background image to “Start”Background. “Start” The screen will automatically update when the desktop background changes.

Open the “Start” screen by swiping inward from the right edge of the screen and clicking “Start”. (Or, if you're using a mouse, point the mouse pointer at the bottom left corner of the screen and click “Start”.)

Swipe in from the right edge of the screen and click “Set”. (If you are using a mouse, point to the lower right corner of the screen, then move the mouse pointer up and click “Set”.)

Click or click “Personalize”, then tap or Click the preview of the desktop background.

Changing the lock screen image

You can choose to use only one favorite photo as the lock screen image, or you can select some photos to create a lock screen slide show.

Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, click “Set”, then click “Change PC Settings”. (If you are using a mouse, point to the lower right corner of the screen, then move the mouse pointer up, click “Set”, then click “Change PC Settings>; www.ms8e.com)

Click or click "Computers & Devices", and then tap or click “Lock Screen Interface”.

If you only want to use a photo on the lock screen, click or click “Browse” and select the desired image (you can choose the photo on your computer or SkyDrive) .八亿网

Click or click the picture you want to use to select it, then click or click “Select Image”.

To play a slide show on the lock screen, tap or click “show slide show on the lock screen to enable this feature.

Click or click “Add Folder" and browse to the folder where you saved the image you want to use.

Click or click the folder to select it, click or click “select this folder", and then tap or click “OK”. You can select up to 10 folders.

Note

By default, Windows will only use the image that best fits your screen for a lock screen slide show. But if you want to use all the images in the folder selected for the slide show, click or click “use only the image that best fits my screen”slider to close it.
