Computer Store News: In the HP-sponsored annual Hacking Challenge Pwn2Own, Chrome, Firefox and IE10 browsers, Java and Win8 have fallen. Among them, the French security company Vupen Security's team of researchers used a variety of attack techniques (including two IE10 0day vulnerabilities) to bypass Microsoft's multiple security defenses and invade browsers running on Surface Pro (Win8) tablets. Thus won a $100,000 bonus.

Two security researchers at MWR Labs exploited a vulnerability not found in Chrome 25 and a kernel privilege escalation vulnerability that invaded the Chrome browser running on Windows 7, and also got 10 Ten thousand dollar bonus. Apple's browser Safari has not yet fallen. Security researchers who successfully demonstrate the attack will not disclose the details, they will notify Microsoft, Mozilla, Google and Oracle, and the attack code will only remain in the hands of the challenge organizers.
