Let IE10 in Win8 open

Computer Store News:

In order to get more secure browsing protection for Windows 8 and Windows RT users, Microsoft has made corresponding access to Flash content in Internet Explorer. Restricted, only trusted websites on the Microsoft whitelist can run Flash content in IE browser. Although this can better protect our security, it also brings us some inconvenience in browsing the website. For example, when browsing some unknown websites, if the website is developed using Flash, it cannot be opened directly.

Fortunately, Microsoft's whitelist file is stored locally. We can modify the local whitelist file to enable any website to open Flash content.

First of all, in order to ensure that our modified local whitelist file is not overwritten by IE data update, you can first cancel the function of IE's download and update website list.

Open IE, press ALT, open the menu bar, then click Tools —— Compatibility View Settings

Then uncheck "&" from Microsoft Download the updated compatibility list & rdquo; This option can be done by clicking the close button.

Next we can modify the local whitelist file.

1. Enter the following address in the resource manager or IE browser address bar, press the Enter key to open the directory.

%HOMEPATH%\\AppData\\Local\\Microsoft\\Internet Explorer\\IECompatData\\

2, find the iecompatdata.xml file in the directory, press on the file Right click the mouse, select the open mode, open with Notepad.

3. Pull down to the end of the file and add the URL of the website you need in the form of a URL. If there are multiple URLs, you can add them line by line in the same way as in the file.

4. After the addition is complete, press Ctrl + S to save.

5, now basically completed, and finally we don't forget to clear the browsing history in IE browser, press Windows + I in IE to open the settings, open the Internet option, press Just delete the button.

Now you can enjoy the Flash content of any website!
