Skype 6.1 for Windows Update

January 11th news, Microsoft integrated voice and video call service Skype, Skype 6.1 for Windows introduced the Outlook desktop mail client. The new version of Skype also includes the ability to make calls to any mobile phone or landline via Outlook.

Microsoft has built-in online status, imported contact information into Outlook contact lists, and accepts instant messages through this mail client.

In addition to the integration with Outlook, the updated Skype interface makes it easier for users to add contacts and search for Skype users in the contact list. The new Mac version of Skype adds click-to-call functionality in Safari.

Finally, Microsoft promised that Skype will be integrated into the web version of Outlook.com in a few weeks, and will also support video calls.
