Microsoft officially closed MSN on March 15

Beijing time on the afternoon of January 9th, Microsoft issued a notice to Windows Messenger Live (MSN) users on Tuesday that the product will stop providing services to most users on March 15. According to Sina Technology, Microsoft announced in November last year that it will soon disable Windows Messenger Live and focus on developing its Skype acquisition in October 2011. The company said in the notice: “On March 15, 2013, in addition to mainland China, we will close the existing Messenger service globally and integrate the excellent features of Messenger with Skype. After upgrading Skype and using a Microsoft account (same as your Messenger ID), all your Messenger contacts will be displayed. You can start an instant messenger or video chat with them as before, and explore new ways to stay in touch with Skype on your phone and tablet. & rdquo; Skype executives said in October last year that Skype is the most likely service to replace Messenger in the future, but he refused to disclose the timetable. A blog last November showed that the conversion will be completed in the first quarter of 2013. Skype began testing new Windows and Mac software in October last year, allowing users to log in with Windows Live ID, and can send and receive instant messages and view status information from users using Live Messenger, Xbox, Hotmail or Outlook.com. After migrating from Messenger to Skype, users can use Skype to send and receive instant messages, make video chats, make calls, share screens, and make video calls from their mobile phones.
