Microsoft pushes Win7 patch again

Computer Shop News:

Microsoft recently pushed the Win7 patch to help users solve a slow startup problem in Windows 7 and Windows 7 SP1. Microsoft confirmed that if users create too many system restore points on their computers, they will find that they are very slow when they start the system.

Microsoft has provided a fix for this issue in the Microsoft Knowledge Base KB2555428 and explains the reasons for this problem. Each restore point creates a Windows snapshot, and Volsnap.sys must be verified during the system boot process. When you create too many restore points, the boot of the ReadyBoot function may exceed the 512KB limit, which causes the boot I/O operation to not be pre-cached, so the boot process will be very slow.
