At the time Android imaginary enemy Nai Saipan and BlackBerry, Apple is not qualified

Computer shop news Google used to display the first mobile phone of Android system in appearance with the BlackBerry, Nokia E series mobile phone very similar. The OMAP850 chip's Google Sooner phone is built by HTC, but without a touch screen and WiFi.

Due to the lawsuits of Oracle and Goolge, we know from Google's published documents that Google Sooner is running an earlier version of Android. This version was completed on May 15, 2007, earlier than the M3 version.

In terms of hardware, the Google Sooner, also known as the HTC EXCA 300, uses the OMAP850 chip and 64M of RAM. This phone is only black and white. The screen is not touchable, the resolution is 320*240, and the rear 1.3 megapixel camera supports image recording. The phone has a QWERTY full keyboard and six buttons (menu, back, home, favorites and two phone buttons), supports 2G networks, and provides mini-SD and mini-USB interfaces.

From the early screens, you can see gadgets like the clock and the Google search bar. In terms of software, Google Sooner has built-in applications such as Gmail, Goolge Talk, Contacts, Computers, Notepads, and Browsers.

Before the iPhone was released, Android was designed by Google to focus on the mobile phone market and to eat into the mobile phone market share of Saipan and BlackBerry. But this early Android system was even worse than the Saipan S90 system running on the Nokia 7700/7710.

Although we often hear about Android how to compete with iOS, but no one thought of the earliest imaginary enemy of this thing, it turned out to be Saipan and Blackberry, not Apple! Fortunately, this short-sighted plan shifted its position under the strong intervention of the iPhone. Otherwise, now everyone’s Android phone is another Nokia!
