Microsoft: Windows 8 is suitable for most touch screen computers

Most touch screen computers on the market today can be installed with the Windows 8 operating system. But the tablet and ordinary computer designed for this operating system can provide users with a better experience. Microsoft wrote in the Windows 8 development log that hardware for Windows 8 systems needs to support at least five fingers for multi-touch input.

However, the basic gestures required to interact with the Windows platform require only two fingers, so most Windows 7 touch screens are compatible with Windows 8. Despite this, Microsoft recommends that users who are able to use the Windows 8 Preview install Windows 8 as soon as possible. At present, Microsoft is working hard with its partners to promote Windows 8, and listed some products, such as HP Elitebook 2760p, ASUS EP121, Dell Inspiron Duo, Lenovo x220t, Samsung 7 series. Microsoft said it will test and certify each touchscreen device before it goes on the market to ensure the availability and quality of its touchscreen hardware.
