Optimize Windows Server 2008 to improve Internet efficiency

I believe many of my friends are taking advantage of Windows Server 2008 system's powerful features and high security performance to try it out; it is because of this, Windows Server 2008 system is in the default state. The speed of the Internet has been limited, making it impossible for us to surf the Internet as quickly as we used to. In fact, as long as we have some suitable settings for the Windows Server 2008 system, we can make the Internet faster and faster!

Let IE load the page faster

On Windows Server Under the 2008 operating system, when using the IE browser that comes with the system to access the webpage by the Internet, IE is only allowed to load two page objects from the target site server at the same time by default. This obviously affects the opening speed of the webpage content. . In order to make the content of the webpage display faster, we can set the registry key of the Windows Server 2008 system as follows to force the IE browser to load more page objects from the target site server:

First click the "Start" /"Run" command in the Windows Server 2008 system desktop, enter the string command "regedit" in the pop-up system run text box, click the "OK" button, open the corresponding system Registry editing window;

Secondly expand the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" node option in the display area on the left side of the registry editing window, and then select the registry subkey "Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\" from the bottom of the node. Internet Settings", in the right area of the corresponding target sub-item, right-click on the blank location, click the "New" /"DWORD Value" command from the pop-up shortcut menu;

will The newly created double-byte value is named "MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server", and then double-click the key value to open the setting shown in Figure 1. Dialog box, in which we can change its value to "10", which means that the IE browser that comes with the Windows Server 2008 system is forced to use 10 simultaneous sessions;

Following the same steps, we must also create a "MaxConnectionsPerServer" double-byte value under the "Internet Settings" registry subkey and set the value of the key to "10". Finally, restart Windows Server 2008. The system, when we open the system's own IE browser to access the webpage, we will feel that the display speed of the webpage is obviously faster.

Making TCP/IPv4 connections less susceptible to interference

Windows Server 2008 systems have a number of network communication protocols and network layer drivers installed by default, such as Internet Protocol version 6, Link. -Layer Topology Discovery Responder protocol, link layer topology discovery mapper I/O driver, etc. These communication protocols and drivers have no use at all in the current online environment. On the contrary, their automatic installation increases the operating load of the system. Interfering with the stability of TCP/IPv4 Internet connection, it is easy to cause the network connection speed to drop; for this reason, we need to cancel some unrelated communication protocols and drivers, so that TCP/IPv4 Internet connection is less interfered, and Windows is guaranteed. The Internet connection speed of the Server 2008 system is not affected:

First enter the Windows Server 2008 system with system administrator privileges. In the system desktop, click "Start" /"Settings" /"Control Panel" Option, enter the corresponding system's control panel window, double-click on the "Network and Sharing Center" icon, in its In the left display area of the pop-up window, click the "Manage Network Connections" item to open the network connection list interface of the Windows Server 2008 system;

Secondly, right click on the "Local Area Connection" icon in the interface, and Click the "Properties" command in the right-click menu to enter the property setting dialog box of the target local connection, as shown in Figure 2; here we see that the Windows Server 2008 system has been installed with the TCP/IPv6 protocol enabled by default. Link-Layer Topology Discovery Responder protocol, link layer topology discovery mapper I/O driver, etc. At this point, we should cancel all the tick marks before the above options, and only keep the TCP/IPv4 protocol. If you want to share access in a LAN working environment, we can select the "File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Network" option.
