By means of IIS to build an internal Web-based file sharing platform

[Expert Network Exclusive] File sharing is a major aspect of enterprise LAN applications. Based on this need, a dedicated shared server will usually be set up. In fact, today's enterprises and institutions have their own Web server. If you are using a Windows Server 2008-based Web server platform, setting up a dedicated file server is not the only option. We can borrow Web channels for file sharing. In addition, even if there is a dedicated shared server, this web-based shared channel can achieve offloading or directly replace the existing file server in the case of increased shared server load, which not only brings performance improvement but also avoids file service. Overloaded and down.

1. Implementation Ideas

Using the new features of Windows Server 2008, configure the server running the Web to implement file sharing. Mapping site content to a file server's storage through a mobile sharing configuration makes it easy to configure different servers to use shared configuration storage without any modifications.

2, the realization process

In order to make everyone have a more complete understanding, the author builds the environment from the beginning to demonstrate in detail the specific process of building this Web channel. The parameter settings in the author's demo are for demonstration purposes only, and you can set it up in a more realistic environment when deploying.
