First, system data backup

Ghost10 mainly uses full system backup to ensure the integrity of the system after system recovery, and supports separate backup hardware driver
program.

Tip:
Before installing Ghost10, you need to install the Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 runtime environment.

1. Full System Backup

Select the "Backup Now" command under Ghost10's "Backup" function, create a new "Define Backup" task, and then set the task name, backup time and Target disk, etc. (Figure 1). This function is equivalent to the Ghost version of the disk image, but Ghost10 can be directly backed up to a LAN computer or U disk device without setting. After the setup is complete, select the "Backup Now" command to perform a full system backup.

Tip: When performing system backup, to ensure that the running speed of the computer is not affected, you can adjust the performance to the "slow" state in the "Backup Process" window.

2. Automatic periodic backup

If you want Ghost10 to automatically back up system data, users can enable it in the "Edit Schedule" function. Scheduling the command, and then customizing the automatic backup log allows Ghost10 to do a regular backup of the system (Figure 2), this function is equivalent to the Windows XP system "system restore" function.

Tip:
To ensure the security of the backup data, you can use the "Advanced" setting of "Edit Settings" to set the password when editing the schedule.

3. Driver Backup

When making hard disk image, use Ghost10 driver backup function. You can copy all the data contained in the current disk to the new disk. This function is equivalent to the disk partition backup function of the old version of Ghost. The new disk will be formatted when copying.

In the "Copy Hard Drive" Backup Wizard, select the disk partition to be copied, and then select whether to detect whether there is a system error in the source, whether there is an error on the target disk, etc., and then perform the operation of copying the driver.

Tip:
Although Ghost10 has enhanced the automatic backup function, it has cancelled the old version of the hard disk cloning function, which has disappointed many users.

Second, system data recovery

1.Full system recovery

When the system is completely damaged for various reasons, you can use Ghost10's "Recover Computer" function to select a recovery. Click on the "Recover Computer" button to perform a full recovery. Select "quick" mode to restore the system, you can restore the backup driver
program to the original drive installation location.

Tip: The recovery point in Ghost10 is equivalent to the old version of the image file.

2.Recover the specified file data

If a folder in the system is lost, use Ghost10's "Restore File" function, select a recovery point, and then select "Browse Content" Click to browse the system file of the recovery point backup, find the folder or specific file you want to restore, click the “Restore File” button (as shown in Figure 3), and then specify the path to save the file to perform recovery work, so the user does not have to restore the whole The system gets a recovery of a file, and the operation is very simple.

Tip:
In the past, using Ghost to restore individual files also needs to be implemented, such as Ghost Explorer and other tools. Now Ghost10 has automatically integrated the function of browsing backup data files.

3. Recovery after system crash

Although Ghost10 does not provide the function to run under DOS as the Ghost8 version, It can be booted from the CD, which is run before entering the Windows system. In this way, if you encounter a system crash and cannot enter the Windows system, you can also use Ghost10's recovery function to perform full system recovery.

If you are unable to enter the Windows system due to a disk failure, you can use the "Check" Hard Disk
Error Check" command to repair the disk error after booting Ghost10 using the CD. 4).

connection settings, restore master boot record and other functions to fix various system crashes in BiOS state.
