Creating a power plan in Vista can help save energy and maximize system performance. Windows

Operation steps
Click "Start" → "Control Panel" → "System and Maintenance", click the "Power Options" icon.
Click on the "Create Power Plan" option (Figure 1).

In the Create Power Plan window , select the plan that is closest to the type of plan you are creating.
For example, if you plan to save energy, select the Energy Saver program. In the Plan Name box, enter a name for the plan, and then click Next. "Button (Figure 2).

at " In the Change Planned Settings window, select the display settings and sleep setup time to use when the computer is using battery power and power on, and then click the Create button.

In the "Change Plan Settings" window Click "Change Advanced Power Settings" (Figure 4).

In the Advanced Settings tab, modify the power plan used by your computer and click the OK button.
