Analysis of Win Vista compatibility issues and incomplete resolution

Newly available operating systems, compatibility with other software is generally not perfect, especially for Windows Vista. In actual use, it was found that QQ caused the system to be blue screen and some software could not be used. In addition to waiting for the corresponding software upgrade to provide better support for Windows Vista, there are ways to manually resolve compatibility issues.

The permissions settings in Windows Vista are more strict. Under WinXP, the administrator can access all folders under the default configuration, but not under Windows Vista. Even if you are an administrator, it does not open the read and write permissions of all directories by default, which causes some green software to not work properly. For example, when logging in to QQ, because QQ will write data to the folder named QQ number, under Windows Vista, if the current login system account does not have the write permission of the corresponding directory, it will not be able to log in.

The solution to this problem is simple, giving the user full access to the QQ directory.

Right-click on the QQ installation directory, select “Properties>, switch to the "Security" tab, click “Edit” button, select the user to be authorized, check the box below “ Full Control & rdquo; after the "Allow" option (Figure 1), give the user full access, press “ OK & rdquo; make the settings take effect.

Figure 1 gives full access to the corresponding users

This solution is not only applicable to QQ, TM, but also to other green software. When you find that running a certain green software under Windows Vista is wrong, you may want to deal with the permissions settings first.
