Win XP SP3 custom desktop does not have IE options?

Microsoft responded to the EU's antitrust investigation by removing the Internet Explorer option from SP3's "Custom Desktop." What should I do if the desktop IE icon is accidentally deleted, but I want to restore it instead of creating a shortcut (to send a shortcut to the desktop under C:\\Program Files\\Internet Explorer)? There are a lot of ways to change the registry on the Internet, it is very troublesome, some are not necessarily effective, there is a small flaw here:

1. Right click on the blank space on the desktop, pop up the menu and select "Properties"

2, pop-up window, switch to "Desktop", then click "Customize Desktop";

3, "Desktop icon" does not have Internet Explorer, then press the letter key i;

4. Click "OK" all the way. How about, the IE icon appears right on the desktop?
