Also my hard disk space, XP system weight loss method (1)

Faced with the growing Windows XP, the space of his C drive is becoming more and more obvious. In the face of this situation, how to give XP weight loss, find the occupied hard disk space? Still take a look at my approach.

1. Disable System Restore

System Restore can be restored to an earlier state in the event of a system failure. Because it introduces the concept of a restore point, a restore point is created periodically so that the operator can choose the date to restore when recovering. The purpose of this function is good, but the design does not provide the location of the content backup when the restore point is created, so the default C disk restore point content is saved in the C drive, the space of a long hard drive is greatly occupied. At this point we can right-click "My Computer" to open the system properties window, switch to the "System Restore" tab, select "Turn off System Restore on all drives" Button, click the "OK" button in the pop-up window (Figure 1).

If the contents of the system partition are important and you want to be able to use the system restore service, you can select the C drive and click the "Settings" button to modify the disk in the pop-up window. The size of the space used, the default is 12% of the maximum disk space, drag the slider to reduce this value (Figure 2).
