Master skills to group XP taskbars

It is inevitable that multiple windows will be opened when using a computer, but this will fill the Windows XP taskbar. We can take advantage of the taskbar function in XP, so that the same or similar programs can be placed in a group, and users can select multiple program windows by clicking a window icon. By default, Windows XP will put the first open program in front. However, by adjusting the registry project, we can also optimize this combination.

The steps are as follows:

1. Run the Registry Editor and expand the [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\SOFTWARE\\MICROSOFT\\WINDOWS\\ CURRENTVERSION\\EXPLORER\\ADVANCED ] branch.

2. Click the “edit →new →DWORD value” command on the menu bar to name the DWORD value "TaskbarGroupSize".

3, then double-click to change the key value of the DWORD:

0—— Windows XP will put the first open program in front.

1—— Windows XP will put the biggest program in the front.

2—— Windows XP will group two or more windows of the same program.

3—— Windows XP will group three or more windows of the same program.

After setting up according to your needs, close the Registry Editor and restart your computer, the taskbar will be rearranged and grouped according to your requirements. Is the above several steps very simple? If you open multiple applications in the future, you don't have to worry about the taskbar full.
