Attacking Windows Help 0day Vulnerability Case Rapidly Increases

  

Microsoft said on Wednesday that its security team has detected more than 10,000 cases of attacks on Windows Help and Support Center 0day vulnerabilities, which were disclosed by researchers on June 10th. Affects Windows XP and Server 2003 computers and installs malware.
The vulnerability has been reported to have been relatively few targets in 10 days, and in the past week and a half, the Microsoft Malware Protection Center has seen an increase in the number of attacks from the United States, Russia, Portugal, Germany and Brazil.

Most of the new attacks are used to download backdoors known as malware, including Win32/Swrort.A, Win32/Tedroo.AB, Win32/Oficla.M and Win32/Neetro.A.

Microsoft is calling on users to deploy additional security methods while patching to minimize the impact of this vulnerability.
