Windows 98 prohibits the registry checker from running automatically

Everything has two aspects. Although the registry checker improves the security of the system, some users think it affects the system startup speed and hopes to turn it off. In order to meet the needs of this part of the user, here is also a way to prohibit the registry checker from running automatically:

1) Start the registry editor for Windows 98

2) in the registry editor Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, Software, Microsoft, Windows, CurrentVersion, Run branches.

3) At this point we will find a key named "ScanRegistry" in the Run branch, which is the value of "C:WindowsScanregw.exe /autorun", which is used to control Windows 98. The registry database is automatically checked every time it starts, and users only need to delete it if they do not need this function.

4) Execute the "registration" menu"exit" command to close the Registry Editor.

This way we have achieved the purpose of shutting down the Windows 98 registry checker, after which it will not automatically check, which speeds up the system startup and meets the needs of the user (note that the automatic check is turned off) After the function, the kinetic energy of automatically backing up the registry database will also fail at the same time. After that, we can only check and back up the system manually.
