There is no file in the XP disk but it shows a lot of space. This can be adjusted.

We all know that if there are too many files, it will take up a lot of space on the disk, which will affect the speed of the system. Therefore, we regularly organize the memory of the system. In the process of arranging the F disk today, I found that I clearly transferred all the files in the F disk to other partitions, but why is the attribute still indicating that the used space is several hundred MB? What is the reason?

Cause Analysis:

This may be because I enabled  System Restore", and "System Restore" & rdquo; The record file in this partition takes up a few hundred MB of space.

How to solve it?

First, right click on “My Computer", and then select “Properties”→“System Restore”.

Next, select the partition F in the “Available drives” list, and then click the “Settings” button to adjust the space available for “System Restore”.

Finally, if you don't want to "restore the system", take up the valuable space of the partition, you can also tick "‘system restore & rsquo;” on this drive to close the partition. “System Restore” function.

The above is the analysis and solution for the reasons why the common system partition still occupies space in the absence of files. In fact, it is very simple. It only needs to close the partition's "system restore" function. It will no longer show the space occupied.
