Recently, Microsoft fixes svchost.exe process resource consumption problem handling updates. Previously, Windows XP users found that the svchost.exe process took up a lot of system resources after the operating system was booted, causing the system to be unusable within 15 minutes to an hour.

According to reports, the problem is related to the update process to check the history patch algorithm, the algorithm processing time will increase exponentially with the accumulation of historical patches.

In fact, this problem has plagued XP users for several years. Microsoft's update team vowed last month that they will use the time of vacation to solve this problem. The newly released fix will turn off the system's ongoing check for IE updates.
