Xp system found that hard drive disappeared, how to solve

Recently, WinXP system users found that the hard drive can not be found when installing WinXP system on their own computer. How to solve this problem? Now Xiaobian will share with you the reasons for the problem and the solution.
Reason analysis:
1, the hard disk setting in BiOS is incorrect
If the hard disk parameters are not set correctly in BiOS, then the hard disk will not be found during the installation.
2, the hard drive cable is loose
Because the hard drive cable is loose, the hard drive will not recognize the hard drive when the computer is turned on.
Solution:
Manually identify the hard disk in BiOS
1. After restarting the computer, press the corresponding button to enter BiOS (usually Delete key or F2 key);
2. Select “Main” "Menu;
3. If it is an IDE hard drive, select the "Pirmary IDE Master" and "Primary IDE Slave" menus and press the Enter key. If it is a SATA hard drive, try selecting the menu from “SATA 1” to “SATA 6” and press the Enter key (Figure 1);
4. Set all options in the selection interface to “Auto” ( Figure 2);
5. Save the BIOS settings and save the BiOS settings. Please refer to section 1.1.5.
Second, reconnect the hard drive data cable
1, turn off the computer power, pull out all the power plugs on the computer.
2, open the chassis.
3. Carefully unplug the data cable connected to the hard disk.
4. Carefully unplug the data cable connected to the motherboard.
5. Reconnect the data cable firmly.
6. Plug in the power supply after closing the cover of the chassis.
