Xp prevents others from installing software on their favorite machines

Xp prevent others from installing software

If you are using Windows XP system in their own love machine, you can install the software to prohibit others from the CD-ROM, floppy or removable storage through the "Group Policy" function of the system.

Enter the "gpedit.msc" command in the "Start → Run" dialog box to open the "Group Policy" settings window. In the settings window, open the "Local Computer Policy → User Configuration → Administrative Templates → Windows Components → Windows Installer" option, and then the settings window for "Windows Installer" appears on the right. Double-click the "Block any installed media source" item, then in the "Settings" item in the "Block any installed media source properties" pop-up, select "Enabled" and click "OK".

After setting, when someone wants to install software on your computer from a CD-ROM device, a warning window will pop up, making the installation impossible.
