Close WinXP Firewall "Rescue" Network Neighborhood

Change the default keyboard to eliminate text garbled

There are multiple versions of Windows XP. After installing the non-Chinese version of Windows XP, the default language in the regional options is the language of other countries. Although you can add the Chinese language pack to change the interface to Chinese, but there is a small problem - when the default input language is not "simplified (or traditional) Chinese - American keyboard", you from some applications Pasting text into Notepad will become garbled! For example, if we paste information from QQ into Notepad, it will be garbled, and vice versa, but it will not be a problem when pasted into Word. So many people will find it inexplicable. When I first used the English version, the Windows XP+ Chinese language package also encountered this problem. I found out for a long time that I found out that changing the input language setting can solve this problem. If you set the wrong default input language in the Chinese version of Windows XP, the same error will occur.

Turn off the firewall and rescue the network neighbors

Windows XP has a firewall. By default, network neighbors are not allowed to browse shared drives. If you have previously set up a shared network drive, you will open the firewall on the computer you want to share. When you click on the network neighbor on the client computer again, the network neighbors will not be able to access the error, but there will be no firewall prompt. If this problem occurs with your shared drive, try canceling the firewall or opening the relevant options.

Break through the preview "barriers", delete video files

Because Windows XP adds the ability to preview video files, and its management of processes is different from Windows 98. Sometimes when we want to delete a video file, we often get a "File is in use, can not be deleted" prompt. We can solve it in two ways:

1Using WinRAR: WinRAR is a software with certain file management functions, not only compressed files. You can delete the specified file by pressing the Del key in the WinRAR interface.

2 Click “Start → Run”, enter “CMD” and press Enter. In the Command Prompt window, type “regsvr32 /u shmedia.dll” and press Enter to uninstall the video file preview function. To restore the video preview function later, use the "regsvr32 shmedia.dll" command.
