Windows XP Remote Desktop is actually an upgraded version of Windows 2000 Terminal Services that supports 16-bit operating systems (DOS or Windows 3.x) and 32-bit operating systems (Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT) 4.0 or Windows 2000) Remote access to Windows XP. Therefore, we can remotely access the Windows XP desktop by running the corresponding Terminal Services client software on a diskless DOS, diskless Windows 3.x, diskless Windows 95 or Windows 98 workstation. Configuring the server

1. Install Windows XP Professional on the teacher's machine and let this machine act as a server.

3, create a new connection

Connecting Windows XP

1. Install "Remote Desktop Web Connection"

Click "Add/Remove Windows Components" in the Windows XP "Control Panel" and select " Internet Information Service, click Details. In the Subcomponents of WWW Service list, click the Remote Desktop Web Connection check box and click OK. In the Windows Components Wizard, click [Next]. Open the Internet Service Manager, expand the folder hierarchy, and locate the Local Computer Name\\Web Sites\\Default Web Site\\tsweb folder. Right-click the tsweb folder and click Properties. Click the Directory Security tab on the Properties dialog. In "Anonymous Access and Authentication Control", click [Edit...]. Select the Anonymous access check box on the Authentication Method dialog box and click OK twice.

2, connected to a Windows XP
