Easily change the drive letter under Windows XP

Just got a second-hand hard drive and hang it up and found that the drive letter is not suitable. The drive letter name of the two partitions of the newly added hard drive is after the drive letter (the first hard drive has 5 zones, ie C, D, E, F, G. There are two optical drive letters H, I. The second hard disk two areas are J, K), I feel very awkward, so I changed it.

First, right click on "My Computer" and select "Manage" (Figure 1). A management window appears.

Figure 1

Double-click "Disk Management" on the left, and the window shown in Figure 2 appears.

Figure 2

Right click on the "J" drive letter on the right side of the window and select "Change drive name and path" on the shortcut menu. The dialog box shown in Figure 3 appears.

Figure 3

Click on "Change", the dialog box of Figure 4 appears, specify a spare drive letter such as "Y" in the drop-down box on the right, and then click "OK" ", the dialog box for determining the operation appears, click "Yes". You will find that the "J" disk has just become a "Y" disk (hehe, how?) follow this step to replace the "K" disk with the drive letter "Z" (can be replaced with a spare drive letter, I just feel that it is convenient to use it.)

Figure 4

In this way, the two "J, K" drive letters they originally occupied are vacant, and then use this method to change the drive letters of the two optical drives, and replace them with "J, K", then the "H, I" two drive letters originally occupied by the optical drive are vacant, and this method is used to change the drive letter of the second hard disk from "Y, Z" to "H, I". Haha, you're done (as shown in Figure 5)!

Tip: This method is suitable for Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
