Encrypting files in Windows XP

In Windows XP, you can directly encrypt files (folders), but this requires a premise: the hard disk partition where the files to be encrypted (folders) are in NFTS format. If your hard disk partition is not in NFTS format, please perform the operation conversion and then encrypt it as follows. Select the file (clip) to be encrypted, right click the mouse button, in the shortcut menu that pops up, select the "Properties" option, in the "General" tab, press the "Advanced" button to open the "Advanced Properties" dialog box, select it After the "Encrypt content to protect data" option, be sure to quit.

Special reminder is: If the file (clip) is encrypted by the above method, it is better to decrypt it (decryption and encryption method) before reinstalling the system, otherwise the system will be reinstalled. After that, the file (clip) may not be opened properly.
